Python by construction workers discovered - Photo: The Star
According to The StraitsTimes day 11-4, python found by workers at 7-4 when it was lying under a tree near a construction site at the Paya Terubong. They have called for the authorities to catch it, then it was handed over to the Office of the State Wildlife.
The Star reported 7.5m long pythons and weighs 250kg.
"This is the largest and longest python ever caught in Penang so far," the official told The Herme Herisyam Star.
Also saying 8m long python, and is the world's longest snake in captivity. However this information is awaiting confirmation from the Guinness Book world.
The longest snake in the world today is the Medusa, as measured 7,67m long and weighed 158.8 kg in 2011.
